Game: Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution

Platform: Xbox 360, PS3, DS

Publisher: 2K Games

Players: 1

First off, I have to say that I am not at all a fan of turned base strategy games.  I have always avoided them as much as possible. After trying the demo, I had to go on a quest to pick up a copy of Civ Rev. Now I have finally pulled myself away from it long enough to write a review.

Controls: Being a turned based game, the controls aren’t super critical to game play, although, the controls for Civ Rev are easy to use.

Graphics: The graphics aren’t bad.  Not the best I’ve seen, but everything looks good.

Game Play: The game play is smooth and easy to pickup without having to read the directions.  The tutorial gives you everything that you need.  Playing the game on King (middle level), I feel a little targeted.  There are five other countries in your world as you’re playing, and I had all five declaring war against me.  Come on!!! Pick on some one else Gandhi!!  There is an online mode as well but I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet.

Fun: This game is addictive!!  It sucks you in and the next thing you know a couple of hours have passed.

Value: This is one of the few games I feel is worth the $60 price tag.  If you find it cheaper, be sure to pick it up!

Overall: I have to say this game surprised me.  I didn’t expect much out of it but it delivered a solid game.  I give it a strong 4.5 out of 5 uncut lawns.

I have heard nothing but good things about this game and I really need to check it out. I have a demo disc with it on it and need to try it this weekend...
