Game: All-Pro Football 2K8
Platform: PS3, X360
Publisher: 2K Sports
Players: 1-2
I recently stopped by the local Best Buy and found a copy for $9. I thought nine bucks, what the heck. I’ll give it a try. So, here’s the review.
Controls: The game play feels a little “choppy.” It’s difficult to move the players smoothly at the line of scrimmage or while running actual plays.
Graphics: The graphics during cut scenes are not bad. Game play graphics on the other hand, are average.
Picking Your Team: To start the game off, you have to pick your team from a pool of “Legendary” players. The bad part is you only get two “gold star,” three “silver star,” and six “bronze star” players for your team. After that, you get randomly assigned tools to fill your roster. The good part is…lets not lie, there is no good part.
Game Play: Because of the “choppy” controls, the game play suffers. Moving players around becomes frustrating, quarterbacks take forever to throw the ball, and receivers continually drop the ball in open field.
Fun: Not so much!
Value: Even for $9 the game isn’t worth it. If you could pick it up for free dollars, then it’s worth giving it a try.
Overall: I’ve given this game several chances to be good, but it’s let me down every time. I give it 1 out of 5 unfinished honey do lists.
